Overdose of technology

recently I went to pay Hutch bill, what I experienced that could be clearly termed as overdose of technology. It installed an ATM kind of machines, where you can pay your bill by cash. People there were actually insisting to use the machine. when you pay by cheque, this could be convenient. But for cash it's more of a nuisance than any advantage. Instead of depositing entire cash through an envelope it takes one by one and counts. that's interesting unlike other bank ATMs.
But when in the cash counter a guy can count & give you an immediate receipt after linking your number with the name. here you just have to type your number & transaction slip doesn't link your name to it. by mistake you can deposit to some other number. even some notes may get torn while putting into the slot.
I remember I got a torn note once during cash withdrawal from HSBC ATM, I had to do the rounds to get that note replaced in HSBC branch & had to literally prove my honesty.
This is clearly overdose of technology & nuisance to customers!!
